Hi does anyone have any knowledge or experience of filling a say 8 x 5 swimming pool with water from a tanker?  Just trying to get an idea of cost for filling a pool with water as I believe it is illegal to fill your pool with domestic "drinking" water.  I know there are companies that have tankers that will fill a swimming pool but don't know where they operate from.   Many thanks in advance.

It’s not illegal we always fill from the tap … cheaper than tankers! We usually get a letter from Hidrogea asking to check for leaks because of the higher bill!

Maybe I should have explained my query better, I meant filling it completely after being emptied for the winter.

I think there is a thread on here somewhere about the cost of a tanker and the cost of water through the tap.

Can't just find it at the moment.

Ok thank you I will have a look and see if I can find it.

The reason I mentioned the “illegal “ part was I have seen on a number of other social websites (not Facebook 😂) that individuals have had local authorities and water suppliers (mostly in Andalusia) that have had visits and some fined for using “domestic “ water.

We are not on mains water, so all our water is delivered by tanker. We pay €120 for 12,000 litres.

We have a 10 x 5 pool and this holds 85,000 litres, so just over €840.to completely fill!

I expect that we pay more, as we are out in the campo and there appears to be only one company with almost a monopoly on deliveries.

Good morning

We had to empty our 8x4 pool completely after the gota Fria of 2019, cleaned it using an excessive amount of tap water and refilled it using tap water (3ft at shallow end and 6ft at deep end). Our water bill was around 280euros I’m sure😊
