We are shortly due to complete on a holiday home in San Pedro and I would be grateful for information on the best Internet and TV providers in the area.

We are not that interested in sport therefore the equivalent to Freeview would be great for a TV service. Would I be able to get something like this without a dish on my solarium?

I know that TVHoradada do a Pay As You Go internet service but all the reviews I have seen are pretty poor. Does anyone have any ideas on alternatives to Pay As You Go together with a monthly cost? (I cannot make head nor tail of the TVHoradada website and neither does it give prices).

Thanks for any advice that anyone might have.

Hi Kevin, just wondering the same as yourself with regards Internet and tv , also wondering if you’ve bought one of the apartments in the Pueblo V complex?

Hi,

I've found out a bit more about Internet and TV but the local providers websites are not up too much so I think I'll visit their offices in San Pedro when I go in June.

People have suggested flexatv.com and tvhoradada.com. They both have offices in San Pedro with flexatv staff, I am told, speaking good English and being particularly helpful.

I haven't bought in the Pueblo V complex, I'm in the Lo Pagan area.

Like I say, I'm going across at the beginning of June so I'll let you know more details when I've visited the providers offices and got some more definite information on packages and prices.

All the best,

Kevin

Hi Kevin

We just had WiFi and tv installed by San Pedro WiFi. We explained in the shop that we were techno dinosaurs and they explained everything to us clearly and concisely in English.

They sent round two guys to do the installation, both who could speak English, and they even installed a sound bar for us.

We did request the sport package, but they will provide you a package without sport.

So far we haven’t had any problems, so I’m happy to recommend them!.

San Pedro Fibra is now primarily known as Flexa. They have a shop/office in the centre of San Pedro.

We use them for internet only.

Our house is in Lo Pagan; it is new; they have connected fibre into the house to the router. The connection and set-up were good; we have been using the service for 3 months and it has been good, except for one outage of a couple of hours. We have selected the 'slowest' package - 50Mb - and it has been right there every time that I have checked it; and of course with FTTH it is symmetrical.

Have you considered the Internet and Amazon fire stick to put into TV?

We use TV Horadada just for Internet in our holiday home, at €3 a day with a reduced amount for a longer stay. We order online at least two days before we arrive, have downloaded the order form to use on a regular basis.

In UK we have Sky Q /Sky Go and use that for catch up and live TV, on iPad too.

I guess it depends how much TV you want to watch

PLEASE JUST TAKE A MOMENT WHEN DOING A WIFI CONTRACT, THE FACT IS THERE IS NOTHING ELECTRICAL IN ANY DOMESTIC HOUSE THAT REQUIRES ANY MORE GIGS THAN 50 ( IF THAT). PEOPLE ARE MISLED BY BEING TOLD YOU CAN RECEIVE 300 OR 500 MEGS TOTALLY WRONG AND IMPOSSIBLE.

30 YEARS WORKING A BT HEADQUARTERS.

Hi we want to use WiFi  only whilst we are out at our apartment so what you have £3 a day is good price. Thanx Sandy.
