I realise that the government have put a tax on electric bills called Tope precio del gas.My question is how much are people supposed to be charged.

Iberdrola have just charged me for 712 kw @ 0.137329 total 97.78eu.

This added to my consumption of 712 kw @0.158351 total112.75 brings my monthly bill to 240.77eu.

This means that the government are charging an extra over 90 percent on my bill.

Is anyone else getting such a high charge or have Iberdrola got it wrong.

I can’t get any worthwhile comments from them.

Totally Frustrated

Hi

We installed Solar panels on our roof this year. Iberdrola contacted us to sign the “new Solar” contract. Because I had problems to sign it on their web page I asked for help by e-mail and after 1 week I got this answer:

In your current tariff you are paying during all the day the same price only: 0,138801€/kwh. But if you change your plan,

your contract will be affected by the regulations on financing Fee Limit Gas price established in Royal Decree 10/2022, if

you make this change from now on, a new concept will appear on your bills "Fee Limit Gas price" with a variable amount

each month.

Try to contact Iberdrola my e-mail and be patient.

Good luck

It is my understanding that you only pay this if your contract was renewed after 26th April or you changed supplier or tariff. I changed to iberdrola the beginning of April and they emailed me to say I would not be charged the gas levy which I believe changes daily and depends on your usage. The charge is until May next year.
