Has anyone else experienced this?

I bought a new mobile device two weeks ago .Sabadell bank didn’t seem to like this and locked me out of my banking app. I was told to supply the bank with new passport details and a selfie which each time they say I have submitted successfully and a manager will send me a new login. I have done this twice . When I phone thThey deny receiving the new passport etc and we go around in a loop. I am not in Spain and currently otherwise I would go into a Branch. They are a nightmare bank! They keep promising to escalate the problem and resolve it but they don’t.

If you only have Bank Account for Direct Debits once you sorted the issue open Euro Wise Account Contact Companies to change Direct Debit then close Wise Account.Sorry I cannot help with The App other than ringing them again and asking if you can forward your I'd to their Email Address and asking if they can do something at their end.Hope you manage to sort it so frustrating.

Hello, do you have the same phone number?  And do you have the same passport or have you renewed it recently and not yet taken it in to them to update it on their records?

It's difficult closing accounts when not in the country. Years ago I was with Halifax Spain and no problems, but they pulled out and I was recommended Sabadell. This is the worst bank I have ever known, let alone the most expensive! My advice is to change banks when you get out there. Wise is widely used by members of this forum including me and you can organise that prior to going to Spain, which makes things easier!

I do appreciate the help you have given me. I would like to move from this dreadful bank. I can see that that will be v difficult at least I can see Sabadell being problematic about it.

I opened Wise Account then started to contact Utility Companies to Amend Directs the only one which hasnt yet gone out is Council tax but I have had notification saying it's been Amended so hopefully see that going out around June.Then couple weeks ago I rang Bank Sabadell from UK to close Account they said would take 24-48hrs and my access to App would stop working which it did.I asked for confirmation as proof accounts closed which I had to Email Branch to get in Alcarcares. I did 2-3 times then finally got confirmation.

Wise is by far the best option you can set up DD exchange rates are Bank rates I am currently getting 1.20 euros to £1, its a no brainer
