Hi
Congratulations on your purchases, hope all goes well, it is a lovely part of Spain.
As far as the internet options go, we know of 2 :
San Pedro wifi (which a few other Buyers have bought from) and TV Horadada who we use http://www.tvhoradada.com/
Both offer fibre optic....one thing to say, they need access to the local box outside your house to connect it, we didn`t realise this at the time...
We are with TV Horadada (they are located in Dos Mares) having initially used their Pay as You Go service, which we wouldn`t recommend, the service/drop out was frustrating. We pay €18 per month and the download speeds are excellent.
With regards to English TV, we use Freeview TV, basically it is a pre loaded Kodi box and the guys provide regular updates via their Facebook page, the box is £99 and you get movies, news, tv channels but if you want other products eg sky sports they offer some options, we pay €60 for access to the mega guide (it may sound confusing but it isn`t when you get into it..)
Picture quality is pretty good especially now we have fibre optic.
Happy to answer any more questions, we are started our journey learning the nuances.

Thanks Anthony, I am coming out in mid January to try and get works under way in the house and sort internet etc out whilst I am there. This mega guide...what’s it for.? 60 euros per what? Month/year? We don’t need sports and in truth it’s a holiday home that we will use as often as we can along with our children and grandchildren so I think it will be occupied around 10 months each year !
The box they need access to...is this on the street or in the house grounds?
Appreciate the insight🙂
Regards
Kate

Hi Kate
The 60 euros is paid annually and provides access, via a password, to what they call a mega guide, it is similar to the Normal guide but provides additional channels for sky sports & movies.
The normal guide should be adequate for you then just to pick up news & english channels. (we are sports mad in our family !). You do not need to pay anymore nor a password.
Based on your visit schedule you could try Pay as You Go to start with, your proximity to the signal location could be better than ours, you pay roughly 3 euros per day and have to buy it online in advance, they switch it on and off for your arrival/departure. (This relates to TV Horadada).
If you do buy Fibre they need access to a box that connects to your home, we didn`t understand this but just imagine BT having a box up the road and connecting your telephone to the exchange....they do it, you just need to find where it is as it maybe locked (your Developer would have the access key), I hope this doesn`t complicate matters but better to explain our experience

Our house is 14 years old so no developer around anymore but I am sure the president of the residents association will know where the box is and if a key is needed !
Thanks for your time and info on this...next I need to find a plumber/ bathroom fitter, a joiner and an air conditioning company...then it’s furniture time and oven/hob...any advice appreciated 😁

We can`t help with the building services but we can offer some options on furniture retailers...
We looked at so many retailers but a few that we had good service, delivery and arranged to put furniture together or pictures on the walls for us was Loli at Zapatosa Y Espinosa in San Javier http://www.zapatayespinosa.com/ Loli was excellent
Inma at Hipersofa was also helpful https://www.hipersofa.eu/
Friends also went to Sucina but we never actually got there https://mugalsmobiliario.com/en/
And of course take a look in DFS http://www.dfs.co.uk/wcsstore/spain/index.html
Lastly there is Conforama in La Zenia or Carrefour in Dos Mares but we think these are product for a price....
