Does anyone know the rules for driving in the Sierra Nevada ski areas for winter tyres and snow chains? In Alpine areas of Germany they are required by law in winter and I am guessing similar rules might apply in high altitude areas of Spain?
I've been there several times, there's really only one principal road approaching the ski area which could conceivably be affected by snow and this is served by at least one big snowplough. Don't recall seeing any obligatory chain signs. To be really sure you could check the ski websites, personally I wouldn't bother.
