I've been told that senior residents are entitled to Tarjeta Dorada to enjoy reduced rates on trains. What is the procedure to procure one?
I've also heard about a senior residents card which entitle senior residents to subsidized holidays and reduced rates for cultural activities. Is that so?
Any help is greatly appreciated

You can get the rail card from any train station just take you residencia and passport think it was 6€
the holiday scheme is Imserso go see Pilar in Zafiro travel agents by San Javier town hall. Too late for this year but apply now for next years membership

We got the targeta Dorado from a travel agent in San Pedro del Pinatar. You don't have to be a resident. Just your NIE & your passport will suffice. I think the reduction is 40/50%.
I'm afraid I don't recall the name but it is located on the corner close to the pizzeria on the left as you drive into San P from the beach,close to the Casino (on the right) which is a little further up. Very helpful lady & speaks English. Think the outside is painted blue. Hope this helps.

The Tarjeta Dorada is €6 from any train station. It's available to any senior with passport and NIE. I am sure discounts vary from weekends to week days.
