Hi everyone, we're flying home to the UK next week as we need to visit our elderly parents. Can anyone tell us where we can buy the full face clear perspex visors that shopkeepers etc are wearing as we think they'll be worth having for the flight.

Thanks, Helena

The rules say face masks must be worn.

You could potentially be asked to remove the visor and put a face mask on.

So it's probably not worth buying them.

We live Torrevieja and my wife bought the visor type mask from a local China hardware shop, price 2.5 Euro, when shopping in certain shops she was refused entry and was told she had to wear a face mask, so she ended up wearing both types that day and never bothered with the visor mask again.

That's because visors do not stop the droplets and spray escaping if you cough or sneeze. The rule is that face masks must be worn - not visors!

Thanks to everyone for responding. We do know that we have to wear masks as well but wanted the added protection for our eyes while we're on the flight home next week. We've been here through the lockdown and de-escalation and have felt safe so we just want to take as many precautions as possible.
