Hope everyone is well, please can anyone give me an idea of what it’s like in San Pedro at the moment in terms of wearing masks? Is it just in shops, and airport or do you have to wear them whilst walking on the streets? I suppose no one knows at the moment if the quarantine will be lifted but if it is we are hoping to come and rent a 2 bed apartment for a week in a small complex with a pool. Also if anyone has any for rent or any that can be recommended, would need to be central to restaurants.  We are coming to the area for the first time but are hoping to one day buy a place if we like it.

To be worn at ALL times outside of your own house/apartment unless exercising, sitting on the beach, drinking and/or eating in bar or restaurant. Under 6s are exempt as are those with a genuine, certified, medical condition.

Also must be worn by all in car if occupants are not all from the same household.

Last night we went out and had to keep our masks on even when seated until our drinks arrived (edict for our area from the mayor of Mazarron), being rigidly enforced as well.

Not only are non-mask offenders liable to a fine the bar owners fine is huge.

A bit of a nuisance but much less so than a 200€ fine or causing someone to catch the virus - the mask is there to help stop you spreading anything rather than preventing you from catching the virus.

Hello

I will be comping to Los Alcazares on 18 July, are the mask rules still the same, must wear them whenever in a public place?

I also run while in Spain, am I exempt to wear a mask while exercising?

My final question is, are all restaurants now open in San Javier, Los Alcazares?

Thanks Leanne

From yesterday masks not obligatory outside but still inside, in shops or where distancing not possible. All the restaurants and bars that have survived the last 18months pandemic are open but obviously a few have closed or changed hands.

That appears to be the advice in 2020. Check the date on the top.
