Hi all, we are considering coming out to ou house in spain next week but our travel insurance doesn’t recommend spain so we have no cover.  Does the E111 cover us at the moment if we become ill while out there or do we need to get extra travel insurance, as we are both in our mid 70’s this seems to be a very expensive expense, any advice would be appreciated

Hi yes it will cover you for illness until the end of the year but personally I would not travel without full insurance.

I have purchased insurance for travel against FCO advice from Staysure.

All done online & a good price.

PM me & I will send you a link for a 20% discount.

As far as I can tell Covid is NOT covered if you travel to Spain at the moment due to FCO advising against travel there. Please could someone explain if I am wrong?

Well my husband is covered but I’m not as I bought my policy in January. He got an email last week from Staysure. Hope this helps.

Depends on your insurance company. I bought a policy for my daughter and grand daughter last month that covered them for covid and against travel from uk. Under 59. Battle face covers.

We also used Staysure and today received a mail from them advising they have upgraded their policy to cover even more Covid situations and at no extra cost to existing policy holders

Very impressed
