tip do not buy private     unless you take on a lawyer     to do with unpaid rax tax

also stay away from specialist vehicles     san javer     no after sale service   I bought a car   from them 

two weeks later the engine blew up      they did not care 

then as with all used cars  go careful     think about a lease    a new car every few years     

I would agree with both replies 

Please take everything Dave has said with a pinch of salt,

He is always going on about Specialist  cars giving him a bad service but he also complains about many other things such as his neighbours.

Obviously take care as you would in any country with buying a second-hand car and you do not have to use a lawyer! .

There is a company called CARFAX that will give you a complete history of of any car for a very small worthwhile fee, it will tell you how many owners, whether it has been stolen, involved in an accident and if there is any outstanding finance,

Also if you look on line you will find the laws which relate to any person selling a vehicle albeit private or commercial and your rights as a purchaser.

You state you had to rely on neighbor's to help you 🤔 in your previous post you were always complaining about them spying on you.

I have bought many used cars never had a problem but can assure you I would have had a courtesy car and the problem solved by the garage. I have always found the Spanish garages I deal with very helpful .

If you call to see, and chat Jesu from Villena Saez in San Javier. He is on the Murcia road out of San Javier, maybe 5 or 600 mts from the roundabout.

I had a great experience with a purchase, better still he garages the car when we return home and he drops us to the airport and collects us again....never came across this level of service and decency....in any country!
