Just been one of those years.

We have just come back after 18 months and have seen a few roaches in different places and sizes in the house. We have put bate traps down but my partner refuses to believe that we may have a problem. I keep putting the plugs in etc but have seen one in living room,  one in upstairs bathroom...

... and possibly a couple of youngsters in downstairs loo. The property had been unoccupied for over 15 years until we took over in Feb 2019 and I wanted to have the place fumigated but was told I was being ridiculous.

It is the case of the odd one in different locations. I am rather of the opinion that for each roach we see there are many that we don't.

Any suggestions appreciated. I would like to galvanise my partner into skme sort of action rather than another 6 months of wait and see.

Many thanks.

Preben’s your answer to your problem. LeRoy Merlin sell it and the cost is around €6. Spray all around the edges of your rooms or where you think the critters are. Then spray round the perimeter of your house. Kills them in seconds and the application lasts at least 6months.

We moved to San P. In 2019 and yes we do get the very odd cockroach. Always in the downstairs bathroom, never anywhere else.  It's to he expected I'm told

. I put vinegar in a dish - they dislike the smell apparently(so do I) but it definitely helps. The thing to remember is that they are more afraid of you than you are of them & while I hate to see them I don't think of them as being a problem. Spraying is an option but you must keep doing it....

...

Cockroaches are a definite problem to your health. They are covered in bad bacteria and will cause severe health issues if not controlled. there are no good or clean cockroaches.

Buy a rubber mallet , the one you use to put up a tent I find it very affective. 😂😂😂

Just get your place professionally fumigated and then just buy a can of Baygon Verde to spray around the bottom of the doors and under the cabinets every time you leave the property for long periods. Spray outside your front door and any other exterior entrances from time to time and pour some Domestos down the plug holes before you leave the property empty. Don't leave food about and empty your bins regularly.
