Well, January and February are traditionally the coldest months of the year, so I'd say October and November would be warmer or maybe March and April. We're still having good weather now with temperatures in the high 20's, although rain is forecast for Wednesday and Thursday this week. Not cold enough to put on clothes with sleeves yet, so that's always a bonus!

Thank you for the swift reply but thinking of coming for the month of December, are bars restaurants and shops open? And is it busy until Xmas?

There are still bars and restaurants open in December but everywhere is a lot quieter than during the tourist season and the sea-front will not have the summer chiringuitos open. There are lots of people who live here all year round but when the summer tourists leave, the area is not what you'd call busy - more like ticking over nicely. It's a great time to come but do bring some warm clothes and a jacket for the evenings.

Oh Mags thank you that’s helpful 👍 There is lots of expats? Where do they go ? Do they meet up or is there a bar or a group, as am coming over on my own?

We have always found winter to be the best months for dining out . The food is served by people who know the job not students making a few euros. Well prepared food served as it is meant to be served be it hot or cold. In summer tourist areas are very hit and miss, the owner has to make his money at this time so food and service are not as good.

There are lots of non-Spanish residents as well as long-term tourists who spend a number of months here during the winter. There are various places where the British immigrants hang out - mostly British pubs and restaurants and there are also clubs that you can join if that's the way you like to spend your time when you are Spain. There are also plenty of activities in the local Spanish sector of the area. Check out the various Facebook groups as well as the different group areas on this forum.
