Hi there, close to buying new build in San Pedro this wk and want to know if many expats live in the area.

Is there plenty of opportunity to meet new people easily? (by way of coffee mornings, art classes, Spanish classes, perhaps?). My husband and I are in our forties.

(May be next year before property ready to move in to, need to know the area has a thriving community).

Many thanks.

Hi, we moved into our new place a few weeks ago, over the previous 12 months or so we visited the area to get a feel of the place before our apartment was ready. We were pleased that it is a very Spanish town however we have noticed a few expats We purposely chose the area because it doesn’t have a big expat community, Looking through this site it is clear there is a strong presence of expats I have noticed a bike club which looks appealing. If you come over at different times of the year like we did I think you’ll find what you’re looking for.

Hi . We bought last year and hope to move over next year. We are in our early 50’s and also wondered about meeting people too. We love the Spanish feel but also nice to be able to have a chat in English too. We are visiting at the end of Sept so say hi if you see us wandering around. Pretty easy to spot as not many gay couples in the area lol. Cheers David and Paul

Hi All, I would have had my apartment almost 2 years just in front of the Marina in San Pedro just of the beach, the area is just perfect for Family visits and friends especially our cold winter months nice to get away to warmer climate when its cold in the UK. We love our rugby and have seen a few 6 nations in the sun for a change than the wet and cold in Cardiff. The more you visit the more you see in the small Town one of my favoured bars is called the DLounge near the 360 restaurant so friendly staff and good food. I haven't retired yet but try and come out 5 to 6 times a year even for long weekends cycling and walking with my family and friends. I didn't know about the cycle club maybe someone could drop the details for us all to see the meeting place. It would be good to meet up with you maybe cycle or do a few walks. One of the hardest problem I had was when I was renovating my apartment where to purchase house hold Items I got there in the end and did many trips to Zenia shopping Centre and the DIY stores scattered around             San Pedro. So if you are New moving in keep asking on this site and we can all chip in with ideas. Hope this little message helps hope to catch up with some of you soon in San Pedro.

Best Regards Andy Williams & Family

Love your humour David and Paul - will definitely keep an eye out for you but we are probably a different age group - in the ascendency shall we say:-)
