Hi, hope you can help.  We are keen to purchase a property in San Pedro and have seen a house we like but not too sure about the location.  Can someone suggest a nice, quiet residential area of well kept residences - nothing too pricey and close enough to shops etc.  Within 15 mins. walk of the beach. Would prefer a settled community rather than holiday type builds. Thank you for any suggestions.

Hello

We love the area between Hotel Lodomar and the Visitors Centre of Las Salinas.

You can walk to the town centre in 20-30 minutes and it’s only 15 minute walk to the Mar Menor.

All well kept properties.

Hope this helps.

We live near av salzillo and think it's the perfect location. 5 mins walk to the beach and cafes on the beach 5 mins walk to the high street near lo pagan with more restaurants banks + carrefour. There are 2 butchers and fish shops Jose Antonio all within 10 mins walk. There is a mixture of holidays homes that are closed most of year and locals living permanently. You get a bit of both.

The area Las Esperanzas. Close to the town centre , supermarkets, beach and is a quiet area. The 'autopista' is also nearby.

Thank you so much or this suggestion.  We have spotted a house not far from the Hotel Traina , about three minutes walk behind it, that we really like but don't know a lot about the area.  Might you know anything?  It looks to be a nice respectable area.  Would welcome any insights you may have and thank you.  Regards.  Ann

I personaly wouldn't buy nearby Hotel Traina. It is quite busy there and an old neighborhood with many strangers. I would look for more around hotel Lodomar or higher.

Thank you, yes that was our impression also - we didn't want a new build but a settled area with a good mix of Spanish and exPat communities close by and this area seems to offer that. We also liked the proximity to the shops and beach etc . Very useful information, much appreciated. Regards, Ann
