Hello
One thing to consider with an older property is the energy rating, electrics, air con etc.
Also, lots of properties here in Spain the living area is maybe smaller as the climate affords lovely weather for a good part of the year you don’t live indoors so much.
The San Pedro area has lately seen lots of building and with it an increase of prices. If you opt to live slightly inland you will get more house for your money. Also it can become very warm inland when the temperatures reach their peak at the height of summer. The promoters of property builders seem to be building apartments more so than Villas. Anyway, take your time and there are thousands of properties. Did you know that the new Airport at Corvera is due to be operational year 2019. I’ve noticed that a lot of agencies still say about ......’close to San Javier Airport’. ?????
A good site listing many properties throughout Spain is Kyero.com.
Good Luck.
