I’m hoping to visit family in the U.K. in December and my U.K. passport runs out on 1 May 2022. I checked on the gov,.u.k website but they’ve taken down their passport checker. I’m coming back to Spain in December or January 2022 (depends on pricing etc). I have residency and my TIE in Spain.
I’ve read so much on the internet that I’m more confused now than when I started! Can somebody help me please?
The passport checker has not been taken down.
I have just used it a couple of minutes ago.

Ok, just used it too thanks. I must have looked at too many websites…
The passport checker says that I need 6 months on my passport for travel to Europe. Does that still apply if I am a resident in Europe?
It doesn’t say how long I need on my passport to travel to the U.K. now that it is not in the EU.
Any thoughts please?

If you are ‘resident’ in Europe should you have a passport from the country in which you are a resident?
However as you state you have an English passport and require 6 months on it to travel back to Europe so I suppose there is nothing for it but to get a new UK passport before you travel to the UK….
