Hi folks

Can any of you tell me if it is possible to register and pay the non residency tax oneself??

Or is it necessary to hire and pay a tax consultant?

Any advice would be great.

You can sort out & pay your Non Resident Tax yourself.

But for around 65 euro per year a Spanish solicitor would sort out ALL your affairs for you.

Than you for the reply.

Im a pensioner, lots of time on my hands!!

If I can sort myself I would be very happy to try. I would prefer to spend €65 with friends!!

Any suggestions on the web site or location of the tax offices?

I dont mind a trip to Murcia or Cartagena ,if thats needed.

Yes you can do it yourself, but it will take a while to get your head round it. Go to this site 'Agencia Tribubutaria' ( it won't let me put the link in) and find Modelo 210, it's in English. There is also an full explanation as to how to fill in the form on this site.

Once verified online, I always print it out and take it to the bank who will pay the amount and give you a receipt. This is important!

You can file it online, but I prefer to get the bank to do it. Good luck, you have until the end of the year to do it ha ha.

Hello. I think it is possible to do it yourself. If you live in the San Pedro del Pinatar area go to the Town Hall to get information. However, unless there has been a change in the law regarding non-permanent resident status, I believe that you should have a legal/financial representative in Spain. As there is this requirement you might as well get them to make the payment as you will be paying a retainer fee in any case.

I've not heard of that one and I'm a non resident, have been for year's. Modelo 210 is specifically for non residents to do it online. It's easy when you know how, the only problem is that it only has to be done once a year, so it takes a while to get back into it! Age thing!! No need to pay anyone, the last solicitor I used wanted over 100€ to do it.

Thanks for that. I am a non-permanent resident so, as we have to have a representative in Spain, I use her.
