Hi

Ive just been emailed by my solicitor asking for the suma tax receipt. Im guessing this is different to the non residency tax which we paid last year. I have never received anything regarding suma tax and i thought as my solicitor has power of attorney, they would deal with this? We have an apartment in San Pedro del Pinatar

Not sure where to go from here.Any help appreciated.

Our solicitor arranges the payment of our suma tax and I'm sure yours would too if instructed to do so by you.....maybe he hasn't been instructed and therefore thinks you have made the payment which would explain why he is asking for the receipt.

Best talk to your solicitor about this.

Suma isnt a tax its the collection agency that collects all taxes on behalf of the town hall and government so it could be for any tax!.......is it you IBI he’s asking about...similar to council tax which is paid to your local Suma office.

I stand corrected, it's always good to learn something.......matter remains the same our solicitor arranges the payment of our IBI tax, it's paid annually but I know it can be paid in two instalments.

Thank you for your comments. I’ve been back in touch with my solicitor and they will call the town hall to set up a standing order.
