Looking for cheapest price from Alicante Airport to San Pedro del Pinatar either by private hire or is it cheaper to hire a car?

Have bought a property in San Pedro del pinatar, we are arriving in Alicante Airport at beginning of October to complete the sale & wondered if anybody knew of anyone who has cheap private hire from the airport or would we be better hiring a car from airport for a week to allow us to see more of the area. Anyone know how cheap this would be? Any help would be very appreciated...

You would be better hiring a car then you can explore the local area.

Car hire at the moment is a stupid price but come October prices should have dropped.

But do some research now don't leave it to the last minute.

Lots of recommendations on this forum regarding car hire.

And also lots of warnings about who not to hire with.

Use the search facility at the top of the page & search for car hire.

Ryanair car hire link shows cost of cars starting at just over 200 Euros.

Depends on car and other extras maybe but a good starting point.

I have found particularly this year that car hire prices fall significantly the day or two before the rental start date…..we usually book the cheapest available with free cancellation and then nearer the time check once or twice a day for a week or so before flying….I bet you will get something much cheaper then….

Hi Evie,

Car hire is the most convenient but if you just want a taxi from and back to the Airport the best operator is Inishfree taxis, they do a mini bus transfer to and from Alicante aurport. His number is 0034.667.31.46.76

They are very cheap...maybe less than 20 euro per seat

The reason they are cheap is because they are illegal. They try to work by word of mouth as the local LEGAL taxi companies are fed up of them taking business away from them. Beware of using any company that is not legal.
