I want to improve my rather limited knowledge of Spanish! Could someone point me in the right direction? Its its practice in conversation which I really need. I shall be in San Pedro/Lo Pagan for a week or two several times this summer.

I appreciate (as someone has suggested before) I could go into a bar/cafe and try to strike up a conversation. However I am seeking something a little more structured if possible?

you could try going to `youtube` then tap in Spanish with Paul. Maybe run through video`s 1-10, then go on to the many others

he has on there. Best part is, it all comes  FREE.    Good luck with your Spanish.

Thank you Picardie2.

I have lived in "Spanish" Spain for 13 years and never had a language lesson. You need a certain amount of Spanish up here to get by and I've just picked bits up along the way so I manage and we use an interpreter for anything official. I have books and CDs but I'm just too blimmin' idle to commit to it so although I have quite a large vocabulary, I'm rubbish at actually constructing sentences. My Spanish is shameful considering the time I have been here.

Then I read your post and had a look at Spanish with Paul on YouTube. I've done mini courses 1 - 8 so far, the majority of the words are familiar so that part is easy for me, but now I can use pronouns and put sentences together! My Spanish has improved remarkably since your post and I'm really enjoying learning Spanish.

So, thank you for the info and, like you, I would thoroughly recommend Spanish with Paul. And all for free.

Hi Kalli,

I am very pleased for you, now that you are enjoying learning  Spanish. It makes it so much easier to absorb. I, like you have lots of books, and cd`s, and got nowhere. But with this guy, you cant fail to learn. It has to be his voice , and his method of teaching. He makes it easy to understand, and it is fun.

                                                                                   Happy learning

There are some of them in the area:
One takes place in Hogar del Pensionista in San Pedro del Pinatar, there is another one in Vinissimo - Torre de la Horadada on Mondays (7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.), in Mediterraneo in El Mojón and also in Pilar de la Horadada...
