Hi can anyone help. We have just bought a house in Santiago de la Ribera and for the present it will be a holiday home, so don't want to sign up to sky or the equivalent for a whole year when we will probably only be there for three months or thereabouts, but the time we are there we would like internet and uk tv ( at home we have sky so used to all that as well if possible!

Hi John,
If you go with Teresa they will suspend the service while you are away. Cost of reinstating is only €25. We just ring them a couple of weeks before returning - though you pay for a month regardless of when you arrive. Still, a lot cheaper than paying the monthly rental for a year.
I love Ribera, hope you will be happy there.

We have a holiday home in Sucina and had Teleast installed when we were out there last month.
Its a wimax system ie a small dish is installed on your property and lined up with the transmitter.
We had a constant 6mb download speed and i streamed live tv, films etc via my kodi box attached to the tv.
We found the service excellent with good communication from them and they turned up on time!
Cost was an initial €100 for the dish (we had a pole already attached to the property but if you dont i think they will fit one for €20)
The cost for the internet is a sliding scale with one day being €3 two days €5 etc (we had 26 days and i think it was something around €32)
There is no reconnection fee and all you do is go to their website put in the dates you want the internet for and pay the required amount and it should be switched on when you arrive.

Yes john they have a kiosk in the dos mares shopping centre our la zenia boulevard though to be honest I just emailed them from the UK and then they rang me to confirm installation etc think they needed copy of my passport and NIE cert

Ah, interesting Ade. We've always had the monthly contract as ere out Di 6 months at a time. However I'm out f a week later this month and I'll use this daily service.
