We are driving back to Spain via France and Andorra, We have TIE cards ,Passports and EU Covid vaccination certificates and QR codes. Do we need to have any other documents/codes to get into Spain. I have looked at the Spanish Health site which shows a locator form but only seems to apply if arriving by plane or ferry and not driving. Only accurate information please. Thanks in advance.

You will be entering Schengen when you enter France, so it's the rules for France you need to follow.

There will be no border control between France and Spain.

Hi Malcomann have you completed your drive to Spain? Was border control in place?

Currently there is no PCR etc for entry into France but I believe on the .gov site that PCR is still required for Spain. So we don't have to rush the drive thru France we were considering completing a test in France.

We are going Eurotunnel in a few weeks and it's our first drive so any route tips welcome

Thank you

Hi

I recently drove to Spain via France and through the Channel Tunnel.

I followed the sat navigation, which took me on many toll roads and that cost around €150 each way.

There were no further test requirements to get into France. This is checked st the tunnel terminals. If you've been double jabbed then you just need proof.

There were no border control between France and Spain in either direction.

It's a tough drive though so take plenty of breaks.

Thanks for the advice. We are safely back in Spain having driven through France with no problems. We had locator forms and Vaccination certificates which were accepted. We have driven many times and I have now memorised a route which is virtually toll free yet uses many motorways and national dual carriageway roads. I think we paid no more than €15 one way.

Hi Malcolmann/Joey, great to hear and we are looking fwd to our journey in a couple of weeks. We can share the driving and will do an overnight stay and chill. If you fancy sharing your route it would be appreciated. We aren't sure of the best border crossing. I have previously gone to Irun and Pamplona on my motorcycle but it's a few years ago! Thanks again 👍

Most sat/nav now give you the option to avoid toll roads.

Check the settings or options on route.

I just use Google maps on my phone and it has it.

Hi Malcolmann,

I'm sure anybody can plan their own routes but would be pretty helpful to some if you would (somehow) show us yours....I have no plans for that drive but I'm sure others have.

Cheers.

Hi, we  travelled at the weekend from UK, Eurotunnel. French Border Patrol UK side checked our passports, stamped them. We drove the whole way to Spain, straight through, nobody stopped us at Spanish border. No locator form required into Spain if travelling by land. Leaving UK, we had Covid passes, Sworn Statement for France. No-one asked for these. We adhered to the huge list of food you can't take into the EU. Not checked. It was an easy, stress free journey. Also, the tolls on the AP7 are free now, just drive straight through. Hope this info helps.
