My wife and I are stranded in Los Alcazares. Lucky, we have a house with outside space. I think we just have to sit it out until flights come back? I’d say about July/August, but who knows? I don’t fancy being here when hordes of holidaymakers come, but perhaps Spain will stop them, although it’s their income, but it seems a bit early to me. Stay safe
Hi. Yes I do. ME. But I'm the opposite I'm stuck in England. I arrived 10th March and my flights have been cancelled for the 6th time. Can't see me getting home until July.

We are also waiting to get back to England. We arrived on 10th March to stay in our holiday home in Ribera for 10days . We have now had ten flights cancelled. We have booked with EasyJet and Ryanair hoping one of them will go at some point. It will probably depend on when Murcia International opens.

We’ve given up the idea of flying from Murcia International. We’ve had 10 flights cancelled, that’s including the 15th May (Ryanair) & 18th (EasyJet) I’m facing issues from my employer, so we’ve booked an Aer Lingus flight from Alicante to Dublin then a 7 hour stop over in Dublin then a flight to Stansted. Feel much safer here than we’re going to feel in London.

Just out of interest Mary, did you get in touch with the British Embassy about the repatriation flights out of Barcelona or Madrid.

Ive been in touch with our local MP who contacted British Embassy & the Foreign Office. I received an email yesterday telling me that BA & Iberia are flying from Madrid & Barcelona at our cost. If our Aer Lingus flight fails next Monday, we may have to try Madrid. I believe that it’s a taxi to Alicante & then a train to Madrid. That worries me, such a long journey & possibly hanging around train stations / airports during these current times

we didn’t go down the route of getting in touch with the Embassy as we hadn’t any way of getting to Barcelona or Madrid and felt safer staying where we are. We are both retired therefore no immediate rush to get back although it would be nicer to be a bit closer to the grandchildren.
Good luck with your plans. Take care.
