Hi all

My partner and I are flying into Murcia airport in May and staying in Santiago. Our flights and accommodation are all booked..the purpose is to look for areas we would like to retire to next year and a house purchase.  I want to hire a car but we do not have or want a credit card. Is it possible to hire from the airport using a debit card with full no questions asked insurance and if so which companies. Thank you in advance for any answers.

Regards Andy and Della

VIP Pilhor, Calle Ulises, 3, 03190 Pilar de la Horadada, Alicante

These guys will provide a car with full insurance (zero excess) at a fair price. They will meet you at the airport (by arrangement). If you return the car to them at their Pilar de la Horadada office, they will drive you back to the airport. You can pay by cash.
I have relative with a holiday home in Santiago de la Ribera. He has used VIP Pilhor.

Hi Andy. Flemenca cars, you can search them on Facebook. We have a place in Santiago and use them all the time. They will meet you at the airport from your flight and you drop back at the airport. You pay one price and nothing more. Insurance included, and they are no hassle. Mark

Hi all

Are Flamenca generally more expensive or about the same as others at the airport?

I have one for two weeks in July for 130€ obviously have all the add ons fuel etc but when I looked at Flamenca for a similar size car (medium size) it was around 530€ for the same period, so I just wondered what other people’s experience of them is.

Thanks

Who have you booked your car through Danny? We always use Flamenca, however, when we come over for 3 weeks in July, the price was around €730 so we are shopping around before booking.

I used doyouspain and it offered up firefly as the cheapest. I have used them before and whilst you have a wait to be seen I couldn’t justify paying and extra 400€ with Flamenca just for the immediate collection and the all inclusive price.

Has anyone has any experience of Drivalia through Do You Spain?
