Yes quite a few English people in Ribera, San Javier and even more towards Los Alcazares and inland from Mar Menor. What did you want to know??

I have a house in La Ribera. There aren't as many brits here as in Los alcozares. On my street we are the only brits bar one. Everyone else is spanish. It's great. I love La Ribera. It's a lovely area.

La Ribera is the place for you then :) In my opinion it is more spanish than other resorts in the area. This is one of the reasons we chose to buy a house in La Ribera.

We bought in Ribera this year we are a Irish family and are only English speakers no ones on our street Ribera seems to be very much where the Spanish live or holiday themselves which is what we wanted. The Spanish are really friendly and welcoming looked at other areas but found them very commercial all built up with holiday homes

We have an apartment in Santiago de la Ribera. There are a few brits and irish in the town but it is predominantly spanish. If you are after the spanish feel then la ribera is the right place. We love it for exactly that reason.

We have an apartment in Santiago for holidays.  It is very spanish, but thats what we wanted.  It is not so easy to make friends is you dont speak spanish - which we dont - but its friendly, not over built up and not overrun by british.  A very relaxing piece of paradise.
