Hi

My husband and I have purchased an unfurnished house in Santiago de la Ribera . We are visiting for 1 week shortly and arrive on a Sunday the only thing we will have is a bed & bedding , towels and an oven. Has anyone any recommendations of shops to purchase good value decent quality general household accessories ie pots/pans/cutlery/kettles etc . Many thanks in advance :-)

Hi, congratulations on your new home.

Carrefour in the Dos Mares shopping centre have a good selection of household wares as do the China Markets/shops (next to aldi) if you are looking for something cheaper to tide you over.

There's a shop beside Iceland (just on the outskirts of San Javier) called Anti Crisis which will also have a number of things needed to set up home.

Good luck.

We have a house in La Ribera too. We bought ours at the end of 2017 We searched everywhere for furniture, but didn't see anything we liked until we popped into the JYSK store in pinatar park. They have some decent furniture in there and it isn't too expensive. We paid to have the items assembled, but you could do it yourself if you have the time. The anti crisis store near Iceland sells very cheap furniture, but it is poor quality. Better to pay a bit more for something that will last.

We bought in jysk as well for our house good quality and reasonably priced. It also has nice house hold accessories. There is Ikea in murica city for bits and pieces they deliver as well which is really handy
