I have used Goldcar for over 10 years. Many people have posted that they have had problems with them claiming that damage had been caused by the Hirer. I only had one instance where they said that the plastic cap that covers the rear wiper nut was missing, and they put a charge of 50 euros against my card (That is the minimum they charge). However I contacted customer service by email and argued the point as the vehicle had quite a lot of marks, scratches etc, so how could I be expected to notice something so minor. They waived the charge, so happy days. They do full to full and I have hire car excess insurance, so they put a pending payment of around 1300 euros against my credit card which is wiped off the day after the car is returned. They are always the cheapest and the office is on airport.
