Hi we are looking to move and retire to Spain this year 2022 we know that we have to apply for a visa can someone tell us do we have to have a buy or rent property before we apply for the visa we don’t want to commit to the move and then find out we can’t get the visa thanks

The best way is to consult a soliciter.

(I am married to an UK boy, we have done the move before the mess up)

We successfully completed the ‘new’ NLV process in May 2021.

You need a residential address in Spain (which could be owned or rented).
