Hi

We currently own a home in Torre De La Horada in Spain and have done for 17years its a beautiful village however we retired 2 years ago and we are going to look at taking up residency in Spain as we would like to spend at least 8 or 9 months in Spain.

We have family in the UK and a young granddaughter who we miss however the life style in Spain suits us better my wife and I both like cycling I still play footy and we both enjoy keep fit classes ( both late 50s) we have loads of questions to ask about the region of Sucina and have listed a few below we have looked at the new build properties getting built by Groupuno Villa Xavi has anyone bought a villa from this company or knows anyone who has.

I worked in the construction industry for over 40 years and I am aware of the differences with regards to building homes in the uk having bought a new build in Spain 18 years ago and I promised myself never again !!!

We are in Torre at the moment and intend to cycle or drive up to Sucina several times but with regards to this virus its difficult as we are keen to keep social distancing anyway questions below?

What goes on in Sucina?

What's the crime rate like ?

Are there many break inns?

Has Sucina been affected by floods ?

Being rural what's its like with regards to flies and smells etc?

Social gatherings ?

Once again thank you for anyone who replies to our post

Ian and Liz

Hi we have a Second home in Sucina which was a new build  built by Group Uno 2 years ago.  We are pleased with the villa and we didn’t have a lot of snagging to be done.  Sucina is a very friendly village which is mainly Spanish in the centre of the village and mostly expats in the urbanisation   There was a spate of breakins about 18 months ago but thankfully seems to have settled down again.  Being rural there are agricultural smells at times and there are flies at some times more than others.   We have made some lovely friends.  There is quite a lot going on depending on what you are looking for.  Where the new builds are there hasn’t been any flooding.   Hope this answers at least some of your questions.  Feel free to come back to me if you want to ask anything more.
