Hi Bob

I lived there for 18 months. Couldn’t wait to get out. People very “clicky” if your face fits you will be fine. If you are looking for somewhere very quiet...hardly any shops... fertiliser plant close by. Flies in summer months are horrendous and so is the smell. Only my opinion mate some people love it. Why not rent first and take a look for yourself. Plenty other nicer places on the Costa Calida. Take your time. We were very lucky to sell so take care.

Hi Rob

Hard to recommend as I don’t know your preferences. Are you looking for an area of mainly English or a mix? I live on Camposol where it’s mostly English but a great  community and people always willing to help. There again not everyone’s cup of tea.  Public transport is not good in this area at all but always someone ready to help and advise. . . There is a great coastline but you may prefer inland as you were thinking about Sucina. I can recommend a lady called Hazel who owns Alhambra Villas in Los Alcazares who could tell you much more about local areas. She has lived in the area for over 30 years and is very helpful. She is back from holiday on 9th January so look her up on her website. I am sure you will hear from others on this site as well. Many praising Sucina no doubt. As I said...you have to look for yourself.

All very good information

I do not drive so I have not been considering camposol although from what I can work out A&B are within walking distance of amenities

My ideal holiday home would be a 2 bed villa semi or detached with all amenities within walking distance  inland or sea mixed nationalities but not Blackpool in the sun.

Quiet preferred meeting people and meals out, must be close to new airport

Thanks again

Hi...we rented in Sucina and looked there and surrounding areas and finally bought on Camposol A because it ticked all our boxes and more . I can't drive so it's brilliant to be able to walk to all the amenities on A and B....we have everything we need here and the beaches are only a 15 minute drive away. The best of all is the community spirit on Camposol... can't beat it...come and have a look 😊

Thanks about information about camposol

Have been looking and found a nice detached villa but it was on C which is quite a distance from A & B so I am led to believe also is there a Comunidad on camposol as I have had bad experience with this inTenerife I won’t be a cash cow to corrupt Comunidad (Back pocket Brigade)

Just out of interest - you are selling up in Tenerife and buying in Spain? I am going to be doing the opposite because I am fed up with being in Spain under grey skies and it being no warmer than in the UK. Spain is no longer all year sun, which means it's not a place to visit in the winter months, then it's too hot in the real summer. You're only looking at April to June, then September to November - if you're lucky. If I was you, I'd think again.

Hi I have owned an apartment in Tenerife since 2006

Yes you are right it’s warm all year round there

I am selling to cut my costs I can buy a villa and have money left over

Looking at retirement in less than 2 years although heat is important financial stability is key

I will be mortgage free this way

If you would like any information on Tenerife you are more than welcome to ask

Rob
