The beach is about 15 minutes away. There is a bus to Murcia city but not sure whether there are other routes or not. There may be one to San Javier but someone else may know more. Worth signing up for Sucina Facebook page where you would probably get more answers. Hope this helps.

Buses are few and far between you will need a car if you dont want to be bored. Nearest beach about 15/20 mins by car and nearest decent shopping centre about the same
Its a small village about 20 minutes from the beach with lots of bars. Served by a very poor bus service, it is inundated by flies in the summer and there is often a stink from a nearby pig farm. Much better to RENT close to the sea to avoid the flies. By renting you dont have the hassle when things go wrong with your home, if you want to move on from here, the properties are very difficult to sell and the price of property is going down. Its costly to sell too as the government take a hefty tax from you. Better to buy a Flat in England, rent it out and rent for a while in Sucina so you can judge for yourselves
Pixies2 are you Lynne with a new name? You are just as grumpy!

I bought on Hacienda Riquelme two years ago. It's beautifully kept, secure and there are some bargains to be had. I can say ive never been inundated with flies and didnt even know there is a pig farm...... maybe the other side of Sucina, I don't know. You would still need a car, but there's parking in the basements included in the price of the apartments. The apartment next to me recently sold in double quick time, in fact, it had sold before I even realised it was for sale, so that tells you something. Do a bit more research online and check the area and roads out on Google earth.
Hi Pat , Sucina is a lovely friendly Spanish village where you are made to feel very welcome by everyone you meet. There are many bars and cafes, one holds Yoga classes and at one of the bars they usually play sport on the TVs if that is your interest. Sucina Facebook can help out with any other things that you are interested in I am sure.
Being rural and surrounded by countryside and working farms you do tend to get flies and country smells as it gets warmer , as you would expect to if you chose to live in a rural place anywhere in the world . I think that maybe some residents do find it difficult to cope with , so maybe Sucina isn't the right place for them , but honestly if it was that bad then people wouldn't be here would they ?
It is a lovely place to settle down in but I would suggest that you need a car or you could feel isolated. A ten minute drive will take you to the top of a mountain where the view is just breathtaking, and you can take some nice walks . Equally a 10-15 minute drive and you can be at a shopping centre or by the sea. It really is a place to relax with a coffee or beer and to just chill out . It really does depend on what you want to do . Maybe as suggested previously try to rent just to get a feel of the place and hire a car to discover the beautiful surrounding areas. 😊

Sorry. I'm butting in, but my wife would like to know about the yoga. Does anyone have more details?
