We are selling our house in the uk ready for a permanent move to Spain.  We’ve owned a sold a house on the Costa Blanca on an urb but are exploring other areas.  Would like somewhere more integrated with Spanish people and having read a bit about Sucina it seems to fit.  Property prices also seem more competitive.  Would like to hear from anyway who lives here what is like, pros and cons.

many thanks

We don't live in Sucina but have began visiting in 2006 and bought a holiday home in 2008. We are heading there on Friday. The village is lovely and the local people friendly. There are quite a few bars, restaurants, coffee bars, pharmacy etc. I would estimate the population to be around 80% Spanish and 20% other nationalities, mainly British. The only downside that we feel that may put some people off Sucina is transport. There are only a couple of buses a day each way to Murcia City and down to the Coast so a car is essential. If you need any more info message me direct. Hope this helps. Steve.

We live in Sucina, well Hacienda Riquelme which is the resort next to Sucina. One of the things that attracted us to buy here is the village. We didn't want to live in a permanent state of being on holiday. Sucina is still very Spanish, the bread van calls each day the old Spanish boys meet outside the cafe each morning to drink coffee and brandy. It has all you need for everyday life, bank's,  doctors,  pharmacy,  2 supermarkets and a good choice of bars and restaurants.  Importantly as its a working village everything is open all year around. We love it. However like many villages here you will need a car. As we live here we don't eat out every night but when we do go out I don't mind driving and stick to zero alcohol beer or shandy. Plenty of time for a large brandy on the terrace looking over the mountains when we return. There are a few locals who have set up taxis if you fancy a night out at the coast etc.

Thankyou so much for replying, the more I hear the more Sucina is appealing to us. We will definitely explore the area on our next trip.
