Lidl and Aldi both almost opposite each other in San Javier and los  Alcazares. Theres a newly opened Lidl near Dos Mares too...taxi would be expensive best ask on the local Facebook page to share a taxi or a lift.

as I understand there is no direct bus to get you near a Lidl/Aldi (they are always by each other).

The two supermarkets in Sucina supply everything one needs to live. 

Most of the prices are competative, some items are a tad more expensive. 

Sensible selection is needed  perhaps choosing alternatives. 

Both stores are busy with the locals (Spanish) which is a good guide to us English.

We have shopped there many times to save the 25 minute drive to Alcazares San Javier or San Pedro and of course the busy roads and crowds.

Then factor in the travel time each way and then the fuel cost its handy being able to walk to the shops in Sucina with only a shopping trolley necessary.

As others advise, we have spoken to ex-pats in the local bars who tell of shared shopping rides and expense on a weekly basis.

We do the same for non car owning neighbours.
