Hello, me and my husband are looking to purchase an existing cafe bar for sale in the murcia region but before we go any further I need a little advice on what visa we need? Would we need to apply for the self employed visa? I will be using a service to help with everything and translation etc but I just want to make sure this is the right one we need or not before we start paying for services and travel etc to go see the business. Any help would be greatly appreciated ☺️ thank you

Yes, assuming you don't hold an EU passport (which, obviously, includes an Irish passport), you need an autonomo (self-employed) visa.

This will require a full business plan and also you will need sufficient means of maintenance (income, or money in the bank) to support you for a year, in case the business is not successful.

Hope this helps!
