Hi
Golf complexes tend to be dead in winter. I am not sure about businesses start ups in any country.
However I do know you require clients. Life in the winter is different from the summer. Try planning a flying trip in Feb . Fly into Alicante , take the n332 and plot the towns along that road then visit them and see what suits you and your family.
If I was starting up I would move to an area which is busy all year round eg torievja , guardamar , rojalis Santa pola , all with big English speaking communities.
Also use the Internet as much as possible make contacts ask questions , do your research
Good luck with it

Thank you very much, very insightful.
I am now in the process of learning the language, I am under no illusion it will be hard I know I will not be working as a business manager as I do in the UK and that I will more likely work in a bar or a hotel to start off! And I’m happy with that but I will progress I will make something of myself in Spain
Thank you again so much
We started with internet research like yourself then went to A Place in the Sun Expo and flew out a couple of times meeting contacts gained from a place in the sun. When we found the area that suited us I joined the local Facebook group to find out what it’s actually like to live/ work there and gain a feel for the community. We moved permanently in December and are ploughing through the new move things and asking lots of questions on local sites and learning as you go. No regrets though 😉

That’s brilliant, I live hearing about people who made the jump! We know it’s no easy ride and not expecting to just sit in the sun but we need to do something more, we need a life balance make the most of it and give the best life possible for the kids so thank you for your comment it’s very helpful

I have travelled around Spain trying to find the most acceptable area of internationals.
I love all parts of Spain i have visited so far. But the most accepting Spanish people in my experience are Andalucias. I spoke to Spanish locals about this and they said it is because they have had more years experience with different nationals. Which makes Andalucians rated by WHO not only the healthest area to live but the most content and happiest people.
A good tip is everytime you talk outside your home make sure you habla espanol,
