The 90 day rule applies to any person visiting any Schengen country from a non-EEA country.
So a visitor from the UK is allowed only 90 days in the Schengen area in any 180 days.
So whether visiting Spain, France, Germany, etc they are only allowed 90 days in any 180.

Thank you very much. Have to boot her out after 90 days!😀
What are the consequences of exceeding the 90/180 day restriction and how the heck do they monitor this. I can’t see that Spanish immigration are too bothered by this ruling given how much their economy is driven and dependent on tourism. Ricardo W

Fines. Refusal of entry. Electronic means by way of passport scanning on entry/exit. It is very easy to monitor everything digitally, there is no need to count up on their fingers anymore!
