Stamping medication

Might be a daft question but when I go to the Farmacia to get my medication, I am always asked if I want the box stamped!
Anyone know what the purpose is?

Maybe they are charging you full price and believe you can claim the difference from you health provider, that is the only reason I can think.
I had to obtain medication in Murcia city and did not have my prescription or medical card with and this is what they did.
