Hi people,

We are new to Valle del Sol, ten days before Christmas so I'm trying to catch up with everything. In the light of these latest restrictions, what is classed as our local shopping area ..is it La Torre Golf or some other town where we are allowed to go to get provisions?

Thanks  in advance for the help, I have a feeling I'll be back for more!!

Hi, it depends on your municipality, are you classed as Torre Pacheco Or Murcia?. If you're not sure, which council ( ayuntamiento) do you pay your council tax to? That should tell you your area, if its torre pacheco then anywhere within TP. If its Murcia then within Murcia city etc.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply however, that's the thing of it, I'm not sure which municipality I'm in yet...it might be Sucina, but we haven't been here long enough to pay any council tax. I was just wondering which shops were classed as local. La Torre Golf is 5 minutes away!!

Thanks

Ask your neighbours to be sure, it's not the closest shops it's the municipality. The village I live in is part san javier part torre pacheco, i have to go to torre pacheco to the supermarket even thought it's much further away than san javier.

Dax,

Thanks for that....went to Notary in San javier today with a certificate in case was stopped but couldn't do shopping allegedly!!

Isn't Torre Pacheco under restriction too since Monday?.. so can you enter as part of that municipality then?

I'm sure it will all become clearer in the coming days!!

We are all pretty much under restrictions. So yes as my village is torre pacheco I can go anywhere in torre pacheco, to go anywhere else it has to be for a justified reason ie work, healthcare, official appt etc. It's  as clear as mud at the best of times, once you find out where you come under it should be easier.

According to Wikipedia "Fortuna is a town and a municipality in the autonomous Region of Murcia " so it looks like you cannot leave Fortuna, if it is in the list of the closed municipalities.

You are in Murcia municipality which includes the city of Murcia but you cannot go to Torre Pacheco San Javier or Los Alcazares. Follow N-332 Facebook page for up to date info on ever changing restrictions. Biggest range of shops for you is Condamina which is a large shopping mall.
