We are registered at the medical centre in Yelca and will from time to time require the help of a interpreter/translator as we do not speak any Spanish and have been told we MUST bring a Spanish speaker with us. Any recommendations please.

Hi, I live in Caudete and am fluent in Spanish. I often go to the hospital and health centres ( amongst other things)to interpret/ translate. If you need help please don't hesitate to get in touch. Paul.

I feel ashamed. I'm Spanish living in Yecla, and I don't understand there is not a doctor who speak a little bit of English to attend you. That's the problem for not living in the coast.

Anyway, if you need any translation or information, I would love to help you. Unfortunatelly I work a lot during weeks day, but you use my help during weekends, or you can text me to my email for any thing you need.

(I will do it for free!. To help you is a good way for learning English)

Thankyou for your reply. We have been told that there is a doctor there who speaks English, when a friend asked for us they said they didn't know a doctor of that name and it was necessary to bring an interpreter at all times otherwise we won't be seen!

We did know there might be a problem in some small towns but thought Yecla wouldn't be a problem or even Pinoso which is nearer but living in Raspay we come under Yecla.   Thank you again for your message and will keep you in mind if needed  at a weekend.

It will be a pleasure for me. If you need something else, send me a message and I will give you my email for everything you need.

I wish you are having a great time in Yecla, and people are kind with you. I know people is a little bit "close", but I'm sure you are going to make good friends here

When you find a translator register their telephone number on your records at the health centre and hospitals. All appointments will be directed through them, there is nothing worse than having a Spaniard gabbling away in .soanish and you not understanding a word they are saying.
