Thanks Roma & Mark

Your replies are helpful. We are hoping to arrange some viewing trips in the new year once COVID-19 restrictions are eased.

We need to physically view places as we cannot decide between town houses or a country house. I like space and my wife likes to be close to amenities.

Thanks

George

Hi,try https://www.alicantedreamhom...

...es.com/en/properties/?orden=&costa=&localidades%5B%5D=36&dormitorios=&banos=&precio_desde=&precio_hasta=&referencia=&min_sup_vivienda=&min_sup_parcela= it will give you some idea of what is available. We bought our country house through this company with no issues. But be aware the same property can be for sale through various different estate agents.

Hi i have just seen the houses for sale on the site you advised. They look brilliant. Thank you. There is a about 4 i like in the area of yelca. How much of an offer is about right as i do want a bargain but dont want to offend.

Hi

To be honest just put in an offer & all they can do is refuse it if it's too low.

Estate agents generally take a decent cut of the cost anyway.

It's generally best to deal straight with the Spanish if possible but make sure you have a good translator & solicitor who do thorough searches on the property.

Due to the current market there seem to be a lot more people selling so sometimes a silly offer may get you a bargain.

Good luck in your search, i don't know of any of the English who have moved to Yecla regret doing so. We certainly don't.

Hi there,

You might be better off starting a new topic instead of tagging on to an old thread so you can get some more input from others.

However, a good lawyer is Javier Zubieta Esteban. Google his name for all contact details. He is in S.Eulalia.

Never give up money to an estate agency for a deposit - it should always go through a lawyer.

Good luck

Janice

Hi everyone

My wife, 18year old son and I are looking to buy and move to Yecla once Brexit is finalised.

We were wondering what we need to consider to live full time in Yecla. We are in our late 40’s.

Information on cost of living, water, electricity, petrol prices, council rates etc.

We are looking at a country property with pool.

As soon as travel restrictions are lifted we plan on a few weekend trips to the area to experience what the area has to offer.

Hope to speak to you all.

Regards

George, Gina & Josh

I am also thinking of buying in Yecla and wonder if it is safe to lock up and leave for a few months?
