My parents have a place in Aguilas and after us visiting for 20 years we would like to buy ourselves. Looking online many properties have already sold and have been left on there, and after enquiring we are then been offer other properties much further afield. We would onto like between San Juan and calabadina and really need to find an English speaking estate agent who can help us with this. Any help would be muchly appreciated

Most estate agents have English-speaking staff. I would recommend that you check out the estate agents in the area of your choice (Google maps), have a look at their websites and check any reviews that have been posted about them. In my opinion, local agents usually know their own area better than the larger agents that have multiple offices and also offer a more personal service.

Yes we’ve tried but many do not understand us, that’s why I was hoping for a recommendation. We wanted to have contact with them prior to our visit too so we can organise a day to view properties.

Hi, we used Paco House estate agents. He is based in Lorca, which is not too far from Águilas, about 45 mins. He speaks very good English and he sold us our house last august. Can’t recommend him enough. Might be worth a look through his website and if anything then speak to him.

We are in Aguilas, and have just sold our house.

Lara who speaks excellent English and Spanish (not sure if she was born in Spain or UK) you will need someone who speaks excellent Spanish to deal with the purchase!

She works for Spidia Inmobiliaria, they are just off the main square, they always have a good range of houses or apartments for sale, but beware like most Spanish estate agents they want to charge both the buyer and the seller commission!

Yes I know, shame that’s the case. Yes we’ve been in there before. We find when we look online it is something old on there that sold months maybe years ago, and never bother taking it off 🙄 so when we enquire they then say no it’s sold but how about this house really far away. We would like to find someone who can set up some viewings for us of what properties are for sale.

Hi we bought our property in 2018 through GoGo Estate agents and dealt with Lorena, who spoke perfect English and showed us several properties for sale in the area of aguilas. Good luck.
