The burglaries were committed in four uninhabited properties and electrical domestic items, such as cookers, microwaves etc were stolen.
The Mayor told Nexonr: “I want people in Calasparra to feel safe. Our town already has one of the lowest crime rates in the region due local police being very active and due to the network of security cameras. ”
The Mayor explained that there are already 11 security cameras in Calasparra and another five are currently being installed, including one on the roundabout near the “wooden hut” which will control, day and night, traffic in and out of the urbanizations.
An additional four security cameras are also planned.
“Occasionally there are burglaries, which is regrettable,” said the Mayor, “but generally due to the activity of our local police the burglars go elsewhere. "
