Hi Alex, we have been looking at property in Los Urrutias but have come across some news articles which are quite worrying. One of the articles claimed that the beach was so badly polluted that the smell and insects kept property owners away. Would you know if this is true and are there plans to deal with the problem. I could imagine that this past year the beaches wouldn't have been given too much attention due to the restrictions and pressures inflicted by the Covid crisis. Are the beaches normally cleaned? Any advice you could give would be great. Thank you.

PCR tests for travel - 1 replies
Hi
Keep hearing that only proper PCR test is acceptable for flights from Spain to U.K. however I am seeing posts that people have had an antigen test (much cheaper). Can anyone confirm if they just had this test and managed to pass through Alicante to Gatwick with this result and no problems. €150 for a PCR and €30 for an antigen test has got to be a no brainer if it is accepted.

Hi all..
Just an update on PCR test...I have today Monday 8th of February been to the pharmacy on sector A..they only do a PCR test no other test is available and the cost is €150.00.. so if anyone says they can get it cheaper please let me know how you do it.
The clinic in Mazarron Town charges €160 . I have been told you can get a test to travel at the pharmacy in the square but they said its not for travel...if anyone has had a LAMP/TMA done at a reasonable cost please give me address and telephone number.. I am so so stressed trying to get a test at a reasonable price.
And before anyone moans about not travelling I travel for work and need this test done on Tursday 11th February as I fly Sunday 14th February, thank you everyone in advance. Gloria
Looking at a property in the town; advice - 5 replies
Hi all! We're looking at a property on-line quite close to the Estadio Jose Antonio Perez, in the town. Loving the property, but is this an "ok" part of town to have a property? It would be initially a holiday home with a view to more permanent/longer term living in around 4 or 5yrs. I'm seeing a bit of graffiti around which isn't in itself an issue, but does that mean there are issues with groups of youths or is it more just kids being kids? The other thing is the flooding situation, any thoughts on that? It's relatively close to the front, about 10mins walk probably. Any feedback on this area would be appreciated, thanks a lot!
