Hi everyone, I have just got home from hospital having had hip replacement surgery and I am in desperate need to have my nails & toe nails done. I live on the 532 towards Mula.

My toe nails have gel polish so it will need an expert to get the gel off.

Hi all

A friend and I have a house in Blanca and we're struggling to work out how to calculate and pay our non-resident taxes ourselves. Until now, we've used a tax assistance company to do it for us but they've just increased their fee from €16 to €49. Given that our taxes for the last 3 years have come to the princely sum of €8 each, it seems ridiculous for us to pay that increased fee. We'd like to do it all ourselves online but we just can't work out how to do it. We know we need to use a Modelo 210 and we've been to the relevant Spanish website but when we click on the Modelo 210 link we get an error message saying that we don't have a registered tax account. There are no instructions as to how we go about registering for one. 

Any help would be gratefully received! Thanks.

Hi all

We have a holiday home in Blanca and have a strange problem in the bathroom/outside waste drain. Flying home tomorrow so will have to sort something out from the UK.

Can anyone recommend a plumber in/near Blanca who might be able to go over (we can arrange a key with a neighbour) and have a look without us being there? 

I can do Spanish by email/text but terrible on the phone. English-speaking plumber might be easier but also like to use local tradespeople where possible (bearing in mind the language issue). 

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Anyone know where we need to go to actually get a copy of our annual council tax bill (we have a house in Blanca)? We got caught out last year (and fined for late payment) because we didn't receive our bill. A copy was allegedly sent to our estate agent but they say they received nothing addressed to us. A copy was sent to our cadastral number but, needless to say, it didn't reach us. Another copy was sent to a random address in another town and we've never worked out why they thought the address was connected to us. We now have a letterbox at our house but nothing has been received this year. Last year's bill was dated September and the last date for payment was 3rd December. I'm coming over this week and need to sort it out because I'm not back again until after early December which will be too late to pay.

Hello, can anyone please tell me when is the best time this spring to come and visit for la Floración? I've heard that the blossom has come early this year? Also, is it best to start the trail from Cieza or Calaspara? Any information about the experience would be very welcome!

Hi all

We’re looking for a washing machine for our place in Blanca. We’re happy with a used one as long as it’s in full working order and only needs a cold feed and attaches to a normal outlet pipe in the wall next to the cold feed tap. 

Preferably not more than €80. We’re here till Friday lunchtime and have a pretty big hire car so can pick up from about a 30km-40km radius around Blanca.

There doesn't seem to be a sub-forum for Blanca so Cieza was the closest I could find. 

A friend and I have a house in Blanca and we're finally coming over to stay in it after 18 months of waiting for the water to be reconnected! We're only over for 2 days so need to blitz as much as possible in that time. 

Any recommendations for where we might buy a small fridge (needs to be taken away immediately, not delivered later and needs to fit in a smallish hire car!), and a single/double electric plug-in hob? Literally all we have in the kitchen is a sink and a small length of worktop but we'd like to be able to keep drinks cold while we're there and be able to at least cook a basic one-pan meal!
