Torre Del Rico (Jumilla) Land Building % - 1 replies

DPWool81 Posted by DPWool81 in General property discussion in Jumilla on Mon Mar 14, 2022 4:01pm

Hi All,

Does anyone know the % of buildable land on a plot of 5,000m2?  Also, does this % include pools or just the house/outbuildings/garages?

Thanks

Darren

Eliza Posted by Eliza in Coronavirus discussion in Jumilla: Covid-19 news and updates on Sat Apr 24, 2021 12:27pm

My husband and myself have applied for residency but are still awaiting acceptance, we are over 70 and my husband is vulnerable and have not yet been called for vacine. We tried registering in Jumilla health centre a few weeks ago they didn’t know if we could and we have registered on the online page but you never get a reply email to say everything is correctly done. If anyone can advise what to do would be grateful. Live in Canada del Trigo.

Meeting up with Expats in Jumilla - 0 replies

1957Steve Posted by 1957Steve in General Jumilla discussion on Sat Aug 1, 2020 12:16pm

Do any Expats use bars in the town on a 'regular' basis? I have been here for 5 months, married to a Spanish girl who speaks no english, and my only British contact is a Spanish guy in the tobacconist!!!

Facemasks or not? - 1 replies

1957Steve Posted by 1957Steve in General Jumilla discussion on Sun Jun 7, 2020 2:17pm

Last week I popped across the Yecla road in centre of town to buy a bottle of Coke...forgot my facemask (the need for and requirement is something I totally respect...especially in a baker's shop!!) but the bottle is only 2/3  metres inside door so I popped my head through the beads and explained that that was all I wanted, counter extends right up to door so in effect didn't need to enter......refused access and told to go home. Typically today, a Spanish guy waiting in front of me had no mask....tried to enter and got told he needed a facemask....but he is Spanish so they allowed him in to buy fresh open bread and other items!!! I followed him in, pointed out " no facemask" and got typical Spanish shrugged shoulders......racism is probably too strong but they do make allowances for 'their own'!!!!😡😡

Nice people (not) or is it just covid-19 pressure??? - 0 replies

Posted before re walking my dog in these difficult times but I am not surprised Jumilla didn't win 'best town in Spain'. I appreciate that it appears that I am the only Brit Expat in the San Juan area, 2 metres tall and blonde hair (easy target!!) but yet again when out "legally" walking my small dog tonight  (poo bags on board and cleaning fluid in a bottle) and avoiding the dog shit on the pavements, my poor dog was attacked when turning a corner...OK, a surprise for both dogs (on leads) and their owners but I made light of it in Spanish only to be looked as if I was something the other owner 'had stood in'...an attitude I've come to expect here but definitely not from the expats from other countries!!! Nearer from home, a middle aged couple, out walking together 'illegally as the present legislation states' on the other side of the Ctra de Yecla shouted across aggressively " Oye, tu perro......" I just stopped and stood there eying them up as my Spanish doesn't run to having a satisfactory abusive 'conversation'...my Spanish wife doesn't walk the dog at the moment

as "it's too cold!" but hopefully we can get through this 'puta virus' and I can release my 'Rottweiler' on them!!!!

Hi we have just moved from the uk to jumilla. We have been here since Thursday. On Saturday morning we have no water can anyone advise what has happened we are in the countryside. Our solicitor was supposed to be organising the change over. Would the utility company just cut us off ?
