Rightly so. It's quite an expensive outlay in the beginning, so it has to be right. I don't know if you have decided on a solicitor yet, but as I mentioned, Viva House in Mazarron were really helpful to us. They even did our Spanish wills a few years ago, something which is highly recommended, bu...

Good morning from a cold and breezy U.K. We bought our property "off plan" from the builder and used Viva House solicitors. The purchase was trouble free, it was the wait for the property that was a problem, but that's a different story...... As for your bills, I can't say for certain what these will be as it depends on whether you are full time resident or a holiday home owner, like us, and the usage. Without the pool, we were paying approximately 30/40 euros every two months for electric, with the pool now, this has risen to around the 60 euro mark. Water tends to very reasonable, again dependant on usage but nowhere near what we pay in England. (We should be receiving a bill soon, I can pass this info. on to you). "Poll tax" I think was around 240 euro for the year and gas bottles average 15/17 euro. At the moment, and depending on time of year, we only use gas for a little gas fire when needed, so really cheap for us. I know this is probably no help to you but all in all, it is much cheaper to live there than it is here. We can't wait to make the move full time. I hope your visit goes well, Mercers are a well respected company on Camposol, as are the other agents and I hope you find what you are looking for.

Hi Sandra21, would I recommend living in Camposol permanently? Definitely! We bought our place "off plan" about15/16 years ago, using it only for holidays. We've watched the place grow to what it is today, thanks largely to those that took up permanent residency, taking on gardening duties to keep the place looking presentable, the residents association without whose help a great many people would have been lost and the many clubs that have sprouted up providing a community spirit. We are nearing the time when retirement is within grasp and we wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Yes, the development has had its share of problems, bad press and it doesn't suit everyone. But don't knock until you've tried it I say. There are plenty of opportunities to rent for a while and get the feel for it. GO ON,YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO........

Hi - we bought a property on Camposol 2 years ago in July and we used Mercers estate agents. they all speak     English and we found them very helpful

The big bonus we found was that they use an English speaking solicitirs and all their contacts speak English and  understand the problems that we face when buying a property

Could not fault them at all
