I’m coming over in January to view a property, what I would like to know is transfers from Mercia airport. Is the only way to Camposol by car hire or taxi, are there no bus or coach transfers? Also how much do Taxis charge? I hear people have had trouble picking and dropping people off at the airport, why? Kind regards tony
There are some people who are bitterly complaining of local people living on Camposol who take people to airport and pick up customers for around 50 /60 euros , taxis are more expensive . I have booked taxis on three occasions to take me to airport but never turned up costing me another flight to the tune of 350 Euros each for my wife and myself. There are no taxis or buses on Camposol.
If you know of friends or family on Camposol I would suggest you contact them to pick you up.

Tony 2...personally if I did not drive.. l would look around other part's of Spain with good public transport / local taxis and the likes...l have owned a holiday home /Villa on Camposol for 11 year's and l always hire a car at the airport ...if I lived on Camposol permanent I would certainly buy a car ...even if I had bought on A/B ...Camposol is a great base but I would not like to spend the rest of my life walking round the place (da javu/stir crazy what ever) .. it's a 20 minutes drive to the coastline ..Camposol has no public transport/taxis on the site.. you can catch a bus from sector A in the morning that takes you to the port/coast ... it takes you back around 4pm if you don't catch the last bus back it will cost you 30€ for the privilege of using a Spanish a Taxi.. property might be cheap on Camposol the same as it is on other inland site's... but this comes with some draw back's especially if you or your partner do not drive ...a Taxi from San Javier airport will cost you 60€ a Taxi from Alicante will cost you 95€ ... I have heard that the council are going to allow a bus service on Camposol next year ...but I have been hearing this for the last 11 years so seeing is believing. good luck anyway.

Illegal and uninsured, why take the risk? Hopefully the new ANPR searches at the airports will catch the offenders and stop it, the penalties are very high. When looking for a property why choose an isolated area where there is no public transport! Obviously if you have a lift from a friend or family where no money changes hands, there shouldn't be a problem. It's the regular ones who charge who are the problem.
Thanks for the information 👍

Don't blame the pirate taxi driver's on Camposol... Blame the Mazarron council for refusing to issue a local Bus license or Taxi licence for the Camposol urbanisation... I really don't understand why they won't allow locals to run a Camposol Bus or Taxi service ...over the past 11 year's of ownership on the site I have taken many a ride with the pirates... only to be told that they and many other's have applied for a Taxi licence and they have been refuse....I wonder why maybe RMA44 knows the answer.

I don't want to get into a discussion about Camposol and the problems there. I responded to Tony2 who is seeking information about transport., and felt he should know about illegal 'taxis'. You must have your reason to buy a place in Camposol but that is your business not mine. The fact that there is no public transport or taxi licenses on Camposol dosen't make it Okay for anyone to break the law.
