Train to Barcelona
Could anyone tell me the most convenient station to get a train to Barcelona? I’m told Calaspara has closed?

I was searching Cartagena - Barcelona (nightmare 10 hours)
Decided to drive to Alicante, park the car and take the train from there (4,5 hours)
I had the same question a couple of years ago when friends staying with us needed to travel to Barcelona. Train was definitely easiest and we took them to Murcia city railway station. If I remember correctly the train stopped 4 times on the way, took about 4 1/2 hours and they enjoyed the journey very much. I think the train did originate in Cartagena.

Are there safe, long-term parking facilities at the station in Alicante?
