Hi,

Apologies, I know this has been asked before but I can't find the relevant post!

I'm looking to drive down to our place in Spain later in the year and looking for tips and advice from people who have actually made the trip. We have a small dog so will be going through the tunnel and will be looking for dog friendly overnight stays.

Of the three routes through France, I do not want to go through or near Paris...I've got lost too many times there in the past, so its either the Bordeaux side or the Dijon route....what do people think?

I've done a quick costing, and think it will cost around £1,000 return all in....and would look to do it, door to door, in three days (2 nights).

Any helpful tips, advice or recommendations will be most welcome.

Thanks

The Route via Bordeaux is easy. (We lived 100 KM north of Bordeaux)

Check out IBIS Hotels they are dog friendly.

The IBIS Irun is good close to the motorway.

Because we are "older" a drive of 6 hours suited us. 6 hours from Bordeaux is Zaragossa also very good IBIS City Centre (view to the church)

From Zaragossa to Los Alcazares again 6 hours. all incl 2 coffee breaks!!!
